When and where is the first meeting happening?

Our first class meeting will be Monday, November 30th at 5:30pm ET over Zoom. This time is not set permanently for future meetings.

How many times a week will we be meeting?

We are planing on having two meetings a week, but that is up for discussion.

What supplies do I need?

The only thing that you need is a computer with access to the internet and Zoom.

What do I have to do before the first class?

Nothing.

What am I committing to when I come to the first class?

Nothing: if you are at all interested or even just want to say "hi", please come and see what it's all about.

What will we do during the first meeting?

We will be getting everyone a free CoCalc account. We will then be giving a course overview and go over some basics of file manipulation.

What will I get out of this course?

This course will give you a first introduction to programming in python. Whether you have learned other programming languages before or this is your first time, we have something here for you! By the end of this course you will have developed key algorthim writing skills, and introductory proficiency in the Python language.
